E-LEARNING PROGRAM TUTORING POSITION DESCRIPTION

E-Learning Program Tutoring Position |

- Evaluating learners' written homework on a regular basis.
- Administering oral assignments via telephone/internet phone with learners.
- Tutoring 1-16 learners a day.

- Participating actively in all meetings and discussions.
- Understanding overall Westgate goals and working towards their accomplishment.
- Communicating any questions and challenges through appropriate channels.
- Adhering to all Westgate policies as outlined in the Tutor Manual, as well as any additional instructions given by your supervisors.
- Maintaining regular contact with the Customer Support Center and your supervisor.
- Offering constructive feedback on the program as it develops.

- Attending tutor training, orientation, seminars and workshops requested by Westgate.
- Writing learners' evaluations as required.
- Writing tutor reports at the end of the term.
- Conducting make-up oral assignments when necessary.

The working schedule will differ from day to day depending on the learner's needs (and on the tutor's availability), but the most likely slots would be as follows: morning slots between 9:00-13:00 and evening slots between 19:00-23:00. Each tutor's daily work schedule will be provided by the Customer Support staff before the course starts. His/her primary contact throughout the academic term will be the Customer Support staff, and his/her close and timely communication with them is of high importance in order for the E-learning Program to run smoothly and successfully. For instance, they will inform a tutor immediately when and if there are any changes to his/her schedule, and the tutor will deal directly with them in case of rescheduling assignments or with regards to any other timetable or workday-related issues.
