Process
Step 1: On-line Application
All applicants are required to go through the online application procedure. There are three stages you must go through before moving on to the next step. Please note that that we evaluate applications at each stage and that only successful applicants will be invited to continue through to the next step. Incomplete applications, or those that contain spelling or grammatical errors will be rejected.
1st stage: Applicants will be asked to fill out the following pieces of information:
  1. Qualification Check
  2. General Information
  3. Education Background & Certificates / Credentials
  4. Teaching Experience
* Please note that applicants need to complete all four sections at one time.
2nd stage: Applicants will be asked to fill out the following pieces of information:
  1. Westgate Program
  2. Other Work Experience (besides teaching), Volunteer Experience, Memberships
  3. Languages, Preferred Departure City, Other Information
  4. Pre-Interview questions
* Please note that applicants will be provided with an ID and password so that they can complete the form, section by section, in the order above.
3rd stage: Applicants will be asked to read further information, fill out certain sections, and to send the application materials. Note that in this stage applicants do not have to follow the order in which the sections are written.
- References
* Three professional references are required (references submitted through applicants will not be counted). Applicants will be asked to provide the following information for each referee:
* We accept references from your employers/supervisors/teachers at your previous work places/schools, not restricted to teaching jobs. In addition, we need to receive at least one reference from the applicants' current or most recent EFL/ESL related teaching job.
* Our database system will automatically send the email questionnaires to the referees once the required information is submitted.

* Applicants will be required to send the following application materials. Submitted application materials will be kept confidential and will not be returned.
Step 2: Interview
After we receive all of the required application materials and references, we will review your application and contact the applicants whom we would like to have an interview with. Interviews will be conducted over the phone or in person at our Tokyo office.
